We have a wide range of sustainable products and services, and world-class specialist knowledge and logistics. Therefore, it is our job to make the everyday life of professionals easier and, hopefully, more sustainable.

5. Equality

Ahlsell operates in an industry that has traditionally been—and still is—male-dominated, which is a challenge. This is why we work actively to promote both gender and social equality, both within the company and within the industry.

8. Decent work and economic growth

Although we take decent working conditions for granted in the Nordic region, we still must be vigilant and demand that our supply chain upholds this. The industry’s raw material extraction and production often takes place in countries with poorer control, but there are also risks in the Nordic region. These are often, but not exclusively, linked to foreign subcontractors or contract workers without the same job security.

12. Responsible consumption and production

Responsible extraction and recycling is one of our industry’s major challenges. We need to increase our focus on circular processes and also reward circularity. This requires a gradual phase-out of hazardous substances and any substances that can't be circulated.

13. Climate action

The climate is the largest issue of our time. Conducting business in the future will require doing so with a minimal carbon footprint. Ahlsell aims to halve its CO2 emissions from 2016 to 2030 and be fossil free by 2045.

11. Sustainable cities and communities

This is our main goal. We work with enabling and simplifying the creation of tomorrow’s society, and we are well aware that this must be done in a sustainable manner. The aim is to contribute as much as possible with as little negative impact as possible.

6. Clean water and sanitation for all

Clean water and sanitation in the Nordic region is part of our business. We enable new water and sanitation solutions throughout the Nordic region. We supply house and apartment constructions, sewage systems and wastewater treatment plants.

7. Affordable and clean energy

Tomorrow’s energy needs require both more efficient use of energy and expansion of the existing network. Ahlsell supplies cables, solar cells and charging posts throughout the Nordic region. In addition to this, we are experts in everything from lighting to network hardware.

Having a safe and secure workplace is a right. We work continuously to improve the health and safety of our employees. Throughout the year, Ahlsell has continued its efforts to find even better ways to help our customers make their workplaces safer.
