Wall tie nr12 en845Art. no.: 310706
Pendulum rod with screw threading, used with wooden or light concrete frames, solid brick, and hollow brick, and is combined with a cavity wall rod (no. 1 or no. 3) for anchoring of cavity walls. The length of the tie is determined by the wall’s construction and installation depth. Design load capacity (safety class 2) for the pendulum only is 0.51 kN (masonry class B).
Mounting: The pendulum rod is installed directly in a wood stud or with a plug in light concrete. A spacing sleeve for the correct insulation thickness and installation depth, and an installation tool for a drill to facilitate installation, can be ordered separately. The sleeve can be adjusted to the desired installation depth. A plug specially adapted for the pendulum rod can be ordered separately.
Installation of insulation and cavity wall rods: The outer insulation is installed after the rods are installed in the body. The insulation is pressed into place over the rods, and attached to the body with one of the insulating washers. The washer is installed on the rod and pushed onto the insulation so that it lies against the insulation without squeezing it together. Slide the cavity wall rod into the pendulum rod’s eye and wall it into the cavity wall. Minimum anchoring length in the cavity wall must be 40 mm.
For wall stud frames: 50 mm installation depth + insulation thickness. For light concrete frames: 65 mm installation depth + insulation thickness.
