Fire resistance classed grommet is mounted to the plastic tube that goes through the fire compartment wall or floor. In the event of a fire, the plastic tube is sealted and prevents the passage of fire, smoke and gas.

Area of application:
Plastic pipe clamp Squeezer L for use around plastic pipe types PVC, PE and ABS etc. for water, sewage, central vacuum cleaners and the like that go through the fire compartment separation building parts. Squeezer L can also be used for copper and steel tubing along with Armaflex and cables in bundles.

Description:
Squeezer L consists of a thin-walled steel sleeve with an inner bulging body. The sleeve is openable and provided with eccentric lock which facilitates assembly considerably. The sleeve is attached to the wall/beam structure with screws suitable for the substrate. When the closure is activated by fire or temperature of over 120 C its bulging body expands quickly and effectively seals the collapsing plastic pipe under high pressure. To ensure tightness against cold flue gases the gap between the pipe and wall/floor should be sealed with FireStop Sealant 3000 silicon adhesive or FireStop 400 acrylic mass.
