The enclosures are made of durable thermoplastic (PBT) with a white box. The switch, which has M-threaded insertion openings, have these formed as "knock-outs". Lock nuts and sealing nipples (IP54) are supplied with each switch. All can be supplemented with an extra auxiliary contact. The switches can be locked with padlocks in the O and also in the I position after opening the “knock-out" knob. Locking strap L6 (31 458 70) can be used with up to six padlocks. Switches are halogen-free.

Switches that have M-threaded insert openings have them designed as “knock-outs". Supplied with lock nuts. BAS 25TP is equipped with an extra hole M16 downwards for a signal or auxiliary contact cable. Supplied with sealing nipples (IP54) in every switch. All switches except 16 W TP and 16 TP are equipped with an auxiliary contact. All can be supplemented with an extra auxiliary contact. The switches can be locked with padlocks in the O and I position after opening the “knock-out" knob. Locking strap L6 (31 458 70) can be used with up to six padlocks. Enclosed load switch/disconnectors in accordance with IEC 60947-3, e.g. for use as safety switch where required. In accordance with applicable regulations, a safety switch must be connected in a main circuit to disconnect the plant section during mechanical or electrical work and to prevent unintentional reconnection of the plant while work is in progress. Since a safety switch is only to be used to disconnect a plant section, the plant’s electrical circuit must have both a switching device for start and stop, and a separate switching device as a safety switch.

Every switch contains a lockable knob, an extra yellow frame for the knob when used as a circuit breaker and a yellow label that indicates “circuit breaker". You simply replace the grey frame via a screw on the back of the knob. Frame heading “Circuit breaker" can be purchased separately.
Plate heading 3134456 fits 64 mm front and 3134457 fits 88 m front.

The switches satisfy SS-EN 60947-3.

EMC switches are available from 16 up to 63A and from 11 to 355kW. All switches are tested in accordance with IEC 60 947-3. The switches have dual switching points and conditional nominal short circuit current 50 kA. The breaking distance is 12.5 mm. All switches are fitted with door connectors, which makes a bypass connection possible for heat photography even with the dial in the on position. The switches have lockable dial for three padlocks. All of the switches prepared for screw fitting with M-thread and have a so-called snap-on auxiliary contact.
