Trip Coils NS
Schneider Electric
Trip Coils NS
Art. no.: 3188510
MX or MN trip coils are used for remote tripping of the circuit breaker. They are mainly used for remote disconnections and emergency stop commands and interruptions.
MN undervoltage trigger
Undervoltage trigger MN trips the circuit breaker when supply voltage falls below 35 % of its nominal voltage Un.
Under voltage trigger combined with emergency button ensures fail-safe disconnection. MN coil is constantly activated i.e. if the current is broken:
- either intentionally, in the event of emergency stop
- or unintentionally, by e.g. drop in voltage, the coil immediately trips the circuit breaker.
MX shunt release
MX shunt release opens the circuit breaker via a pulse (= 20 ms) or continuous signal.
Conditions for opening:
When the MX coil is activated, it automatically trips the circuit breaker. Trip is ensured for a voltage of U > 0.7 x Un.

Motor mechanism NS
Schneider Electric
Motor mechanism NS
Art. no.: 3188588
When Compact NSX is equipped with motor mechanism they exhibit a very high mechanical service life and easy and safe control:
- all of the power switch indications, including the settings in and the indications from the trigger block, are still visible and available
- Reliable position indication is maintained and the power switch can still be locked with padlock
- double-insulated front.
Application areas:
- local motor driven control, centralised control, automatic distribution control
- normal / backup power switch or switching to a spare source to optimize energy costs
- load disconnection and re-connection to optimize energy costs
- synchronization.
Automatic operation:
- connection and disconnection with two pulse signals or continuous signals
- Automatic reset after commanded trip (with MN or MX) with standard connection
- mandatory manual reset after tripping due to electrical failure.
Manual operation:
- manual switching with a front switch, with remote indication option
- connection and disconnection with two push buttons
- Recharge the operating spring by pumping nine times with the manual charging handle
- locking with padlock in off position.
Mounting and connection:
All means of mounting (fixed, plug-in/pull-out) and means of connection are maintained.
The motor mechanism is connected with integral terminals behind the front, with cables up to 2.5 mm².

Cable bracket NS
Schneider Electric
Cable bracket NS
Art. no.: 3182450
For cable connection (without lugs) prefabricated cable clamps are used. The clamps are used for both copper and aluminium cables.
- Single cable clamps for Compact NSX 100-250
The clamps are directly snapped onto the breaker’s connections or with clips on connection extensions.
- Single cable clamps for Compact NSX 400-630
The clamps are directly snapped onto the breaker’s connections or connection extensions.
- Double cable clamps for Compact NSX 100-250 and NSX400-630
The clamps are directly snapped onto the breaker’s connections or connection extensions.
- Connection clamp for 6 // cables for Compact NSX 100-250
The clamps are directly screwed onto the breaker’s connections. Phase insulation discs or long touch protection should be used with these clamps (phase insulation discs included).
Cables with cross-section up to 1.5 mm2 to 25 mm²can be connected.

Contact protection NS
Schneider Electric
Contact protection NS
Art. no.: 3182001
Insulating accessory that is used for protraction against direct contact with power circuits. They provide IP40 like contact protection and IK07 protection against mechanical impact.
Types of contact protection:
Compact NSX100 for 250 and NSX400/630 3P or 4P can be equipped with:
- short contact protection
- long contact protection.
All contact covers have holes or switch openings for voltage indicators on the front.
-Short contact protection
They are used with:
- plug-in and extractable models with all types of connections
- fixed models with rear connection.
-Long contact protection
They are used for front connection with cables or insulating rails.
They consist of two parts assembled with fixed screws, protection class IP40.
- The upper part is equipped with sliding grille with break markings for precise alignment of cables or insulated rails. The back part is completely disconnected from the connection area. Partially cut squares can be removed in order to be able to adapt each type of connection with cable lugs or copper rails.
Long contact protection can be mounted upstream or downstream of:
- fixed breaker
- plug-in and extractable plugs, which supplements the isolation with the mandatory short contact protection of the breaker housing.
- spreader for NSX100 for 250
- 52.5 mm spreader for NSX400/630

Plug-in circuit breaker NS
Schneider Electric
Plug-in circuit breaker NS
Art. no.: 3188499
The plug-in model makes it possible to:
- Remove and / or quickly replace the circuit breaker without touching the socket
- on a later occasion installation by fitting spare sockets
- insulate power circuits if the device is mounted on or with a panel. It functions as a barrier for connections on plug-in socket.
The installation is supplemented with the mandatory contact protection on the device. The protection classes are as follows:
Circuit breaker plug-in = IP4
Circuit breaker removed = IP2
Parts of a plug-in solution
Compact NSX circuit breaker
- A set of power connections that are mounted on the circuit breaker
- A plug-in socket for mounting on mounting plate or rails
- Insulating boards that are used when the breaker is mounted on a mounting plate with from connections (comes with plug-in socket)
- A safety trip which mounted on the circuit breaker and which automatically releases the breaker if it is switched on when it is pulled out or inserted.
- Mandatory short contact protection
