This heater is advantageously installed in enclosures to prevent condensation, and to maintain an appropriate temperature. Owing to its design, a so-called "chimney effect" is formed that causes the air to rotate and thus effectively spreads the heat into the application. Heating source consists of PTC element. PTC is a ceramic blend that provides long service life, and is capable of being heated up for a long time. This is a semiconductor which adapts its output to the surrounding temperature. PTC-element has high starting current and provides full output almost immediately. The current later drops quickly and the element is thereafter self-regulating, in other words, the warmer the surroundings the less out the element delivers. The heater can be mounted quickly and easily on the DIN rail, thanks to the bracket on the heater's back.
The heater should always be installed together with a regulator (thermostat and/or hygrostat) for best function.
