Use: Transition splice, paper insulated 3-wire cable to plastic insulated 3 and 1 wire cable. The set contains material splicing with 3 and 1 wire cables.
Standard: CENELEC HD 629.1.S1, IEC 61238–1 (splice sleeve).
Design: The splice comes complete with screw splice sleeves for wires and sheath. Oil barrier tubes, mastic, conductor tubes and breakouts are used in order to prepare the paper cable to make it resemble a plastic cable. The wires are spliced using the supplied splice sleeves, which have screw heads that come off at the right torque. The splice sleeves have partitions and are intended for both aluminium and copper wires. Mastic is wound above the splice sleeves. Field control heat-shrink tubing and screened insulation tubes supplement the phase insulation. A fabric-reinforced folding sleeve is used as outer jacket.

Use: For repair of plastic insulated earthed cable, 3–wire 12kV.
PLEASE NOTE! The splices allow jacket testing.
Standard: CENELEC HD 629.1.S1, IEC 61238–1 (splice sleeve).
Design: Inner and outer sleeves are expanded so that they can be applied and then
heat-shrunk. The supplied screw splice sleeves are 440 mm long and replace approx. 300 mm of the damaged
wire. The screw splice sleeves have built-in torque as the screws and come off when the right torque
is achieved. After cable preparation, a field control cloth is folded above the splice sleeve in order to achieve
field control and full insulation. The shield wires are spliced with supplied screw splice sleeves.
