Connector F - Compression

Compression contacts of TRS and DRS type mean innovative thinking in compression technology. Many innovations have been implemented, some of which have been patented. One change is the unique solution with external O-ring, which gives full metallic contact between nut and connector. This guarantees that the contact gets the right torque and also the right impedance.
A known fact is that F-contacts tightened with a torque wrench tend to loosen due to e.g. vibrations. Loosening in these new contacts is prevented by a unique locking ring (L design).
Among the PCT patents there is a solution with double 360 degree compression rings which give an optimal tensile load and shielding properties as well as protects against moisture ingress.
For installers these connectors are easier and quicker to work with. Especially with the new ergonomically designed compression tool. All connectors are colour- and type-coded, with a colour for each cable type.
The DRS series is for normal installations while the TRAS contacts are used for very demanding purposes where maximum performance is a must.
The TRS contacts are in somewhat shorter housing and can therefore be used in narrow spaces.
