The temperature controlled expansion valve Y1037 from Parker / Sporlan can be used in refrigeration systems with R449A to reduce the heating gas temperature. Y1037 mounted in one branch from the fluid line to the suction line before the compressor in the cooling circuit. With the aid of a bulb that is placed on the pressure line, the valve senses the heating gas temperature. If the heating gas temperature is too high, Y1037 will release liquid from the liquid line directly to the suction line and lower the temperature of both the suction line and the pressure line.
