Function Shelly 1PM Gen3 has many uses. It can be powered by 24-30V DC or 110-230V AC. The device has a single switch input which is optional to use and which is fully programmable. It automatically measures power consumption, which can be monitored through the Shelly Smart Control app and easily used in conjunction with automations. Shelly 1PM Gen3 can be used for many purposes such as:

All Shelly WiFi devices have a built-in web server, which means you get a wealth of features that always work. The built-in web server means that Shelly has built-in memory and will therefore remember sunrise, sunset, schedules, etc., even when the network goes down. Relays and dimmers work like normal pressure relays and can therefore be used with your normal switches - even without internet. All inputs and outputs are fully programmable and only require local WiFi to communicate between devices. However, we still recommend having an active internet connection, as it opens up even more features.

The Shelly Plus Add-On is a small module that can be clicked onto any Shelly Plus unit, adding a wealth of new functionality to the Shelly units. The Shelly Plus Add-On has both digital and analogue input and can be connected to up to five temperature sensors or a single temperature and humidity sensor.

When the Shelly Plus Add-On is added to a Shelly Plus device, it must be activated in the app, after which it is possible to activate the sensors that have been connected to the device. The device supports the following types of devices:
•Up to 5 temperature sensors of type DS18B20
•Temperature and humidity sensor type DHT22
•NTC resistor with 10 kΩ nominal resistance and β=4000 K
•Photocells
•PIR sensors
•Soil moisture sensors
•Ultrasonic proximity sensors
•Capacitive water level sensors
•Sound sensors
•Other analog sensors with 0 - 10 V output voltage

Examples of use
•Door contact: add a door contact to your Plus Add On to monitor the open/closed position of the garage door. Recommended together with Shelly Plus 1.
•Water level sensor: add a level sensor to the Plus Add On to monitor the water level in your pool or aquarium. Recommended together with Shelly Plus 1 or Plus 1PM.
•Heating: add two DS18B20 temperature sensors and measure your supply and return temperature.
•Wind: with an anemometer, your awning can automatically retract when it starts to blow. Recommended together with Shelly Plus 2PM.
•Soil moisture: add a soil moisture sensor so the irrigation system can automatically start when the grass is too dry. Recommended together with Shelly Plus 1.

Connection
Shelly Plus Add On does not work standalone. The device will snap into any Shelly Plus device, providing increased functionality to the Shelly Plus device. The Shelly Plus Add On does not need to be wired to the Shelly Plus unit, as it is equipped with pins that automatically connect to the Shelly Plus unit. The two units are galvanically isolated from each other.
