Skogen's highly efficient Biochar for an extremely nutrient-rich, climate-positive, and self-sustaining planting soil. Make your raised beds and plantings almost self-sustaining for the next 10 years. We live in a way that threatens our earth. Climate change is a direct effect of our own emissions. With Skogen's charged biochar, we can together sequester carbon dioxide in the soil while creating extremely good conditions to become self-sufficient in our own vegetable needs.
With the help of biochar, rock dust, algae, and effective microbes, your planting will forever have a nutrient-rich and self-sustaining black soil to grow in. Skogen's charged biochar should be mixed with your planting soil. Mixing ratio 1+6 (1 part Skogen's charged biochar, 6 parts soil). Skogen's charged biochar 25L is adapted for planting in raised beds. This requires 1 Skogen's charged biochar 25L with 3 bags of planting soil 50L. Of course, you can use Skogen's biochar in all your flower beds and potted plants. In fact, in a potted plant with less soil volume, soil quality is even more important.
Some short benefits of mixing in Skogen's charged biochar: Increases the amount of microbes in the soil. Loosens the soil and simplifies root expansion. Charcoal has a porous structure which allows it to hold water five times its own weight until the plant needs it. Charcoal has a high CEC which allows it to hold water, nutrients, and organic matter. It prevents runoff of minerals and all this together creates very nutrient-rich soils.
The term terra preta, which in Portuguese means black soil, has recently become a popular term for an extremely fertile soil containing a high content of charcoal. Terra preta originates from the Amazon Indians who, a thousand years ago, demonstrated their incredible agricultural knowledge and left behind one of the world's most fertile soils.
