The meter calibrates automatically when you turn on the device and has an automatic shut-off feature. To obtain the best possible measurement value, you should hold the rear part and maintain a 90° angle to the material. The device has an audible warning signal that can be set for different building materials. The hold function facilitates measurements in hard-to-reach areas. The unit is delivered complete with a battery and a plastic case.
