Securing for lighter loads. The pipe sleeves are designed to be used in the manufacture of concrete structures where some form of threaded securing is required. Because of a hole in the pipe sleeve, the reinforcement bar can be fitted as an extra securing, which means that the load will be distributed over a greater area and the capacity will be greater. The pipe sleeves are made from cold-drawn precision steel pipes and are available in zinc-plated and stainless steel acid-proof versions. This type of pipe sleeve is sometimes referred to as a Blade sleeve. The pipe sleeves must not be used for lifting.
