For the first time, you can now choose active noise cancellation on AirPods 4, with an open ear design. The feature is powered by the H2 chip and upgraded microphones, reducing low-frequency noise in the environment – such as airplane engines, ventilation, and city traffic – before it reaches your ears.
The all-new acoustic architecture uses an Apple-designed speaker element with a custom amplifier with a wide dynamic range. This means that the music is heard with more detail, deeper bass, and crystal-clear high tones.

Personalized spatial audio with dynamic head tracking places sounds around you, creating a three-dimensional audio experience for music, TV shows, movies, and more. The voice isolation feature uses advanced computational audio to reduce background noise while isolating your voice. Adaptive EQ automatically calibrates the music to your ears. Inward-facing microphones detect what you’re listening to and then adjust low and mid-range frequencies so you get all the details in every song.

The slim charging case is just over 10% smaller in volume than the previous generation without negatively affecting charging time. With the built-in speaker, you can keep track of it with the Find My app.
